How do I know if the mining is working?

Hello!

I installed the litecoin core, and a litecoin miner. Using my wallet debug window I can see that there are peers and there are transactions. My balance is completey 0, tho, which is normal but how do I know if I’m actually on the way to earn something? Where can I see that the mining is working? Is there a way to know what my machine is doing currently?

under console you can type getmininginfo and it will say true of false…what do you mean you “installed a miner”? what type of miner do you have?..what software are you using to control that miner?
