How to get litecoins off my wallet?

I created a Litecoin paper wallet using liteaddress.org (private key begins with 6) and now I want to get them off the wallet.

Electrum does nothing when I enter my private key.
Litecoincore console returns the following error message when attempt to importprivate key: “Invalid private key encoding (code -5)”.

Any help would be appreciated.

… and that will teach me to triple check. Spent 4 days trying to solve this problem and it turns out I copied an ‘s’ as ‘a’ when transcribing private key.
