I think that Litecoin is slowly gaining acceptance. My web hosting provider sent me an email that they will receive Litecoin and other coins for payments. A cryptocurrency ATM company has added Litecoin, Ethereum and Dash to their supported coins. I think than any technical advances on Bitcoin, will not be adopted by the miners, because they will lose transaction fees.
So the future on Litecoin is bright!
