I am using the litecoin wallet downloaded from your site , version 0.13.2-win64 , i tried to receive an amount of about 43 Litecoin , but it did not appear in the wallet till now although it has been sent and confirmed .

Has your wallet synchronised? Guess it´s this problem. When the block-explorer says it arrived, then it arrived and there is a problem with the wallet (probably). Let your wallet sync or resync and it probably will show the amount.
