Is CPU mining still worth it?
« on: March 03, 2013, 01:03:54 PM »
I came here with the knowledge that Litecoin is mined using the CPU (already using my GPUs for Bitcoin) and now I see all sorts of posts about GPU mining.
Is it still worth the time mining with a C2D  @ 3.4ghz?

What would be the best way to go about doing that?
(Power is free yey)

Start mining with your Gridseed asic tomorrow!
For all your mining needs - Hash Master Technology. Over 10,000 units sold.

Well you'd make ~.5-1.5 LTC per day at current difficulty I guess. If power is free and the difficulty doesn't change too much that is. (see Difficulty is about to change though.

If the noise doesn't affect you there's no reason not to do it. You would probably make more just selling your C2D now on ebay if you don't use it and buying litecoin for it...
