*SOLVED* Maximum Buffer Error
« on: April 10, 2013, 09:01:51 PM »
Hey all,

I am trying to set up my 3x7950 rig but have run into an impasse. I have ran it successfully overnight before, though that only worked on low settings/intensity. With more optimized settings, I always get the following error:

Maximum buffer memory device 0 supports says 53687912. Your scrypt settings come to 1422917632.

Then it disables the cards and I am left scratching my head. I have reinstalled windows as 64 bit (was 32). I have tried multiple different SDK versions and AMD driver versions. Still, nothing works. I have read about others using the same settings as mine to great effect so I ask if anyone can help me resolve this problem. I will copy and paste my config below:

EDIT: SOLVED

Just had to use setx gpu_max_alloc 100... forgot to do that after my fresh install x_x
