Sadly I haven't tweaked it, my 280x sapphire (dual-x) cards are voltage locked. Even bios mod doesn't work.
The reason why one works on lower voltages and has better temperature is because the asic quality is ~72%. Other three are ~60% :/

I just added a 3rd identical card to the same m/b, all GV-R928XOC-3GD Rev 1.0 with sequential serial numbers.  Strangely, the 3rd one shows a 1.163 voltage instead of 1.2 for the other two.  Apparently there is just some variation in quality of these things...

Hi,

I'm running MSI R9 290's and they're really flaky - they keep disappearing and reappearing in gpumon and the web gui.

I've tried using cgminer manually and they mine fine so this must be just a reporting thing?

mb  ???

...Also the web gui occasionally refreshes to this:

"One of the BAMT tools has suffered a fatal error. Can't use an undefined value as a HASH reference at /usr/lib/cgi-bin/status.pl line 88. Defiled: Unable to record this travesty in the deathlog! Why?: Permission denied"

Is there an alternative host of this? No offense to the OP but this host is terrible. 50-100kbps in 2013? Come on. And it's not my connection. I'm at my school using their T100 network. Anywhere and anything else I download I get a solid 20-30 Mbps.

I have a problem with Ethernet(realtek 8111E chip).
BAMT 1.2 has only r8169 module.
I removed r8169 module.
I have tried new module(r8168) from
http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=5&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#RTL8111B/RTL8168B/RTL8111/RTL8168%3Cbr%3ERTL8111C/RTL8111CP/RTL8111D(L)%3Cbr%3ERTL8168C/RTL8111DP

It works great!!!
but everytime reboot system, It loads old module(r8169).

Can you help with that?

you need to blacklist the old module. try this:

Code: [Select]
echo "blacklist r8169" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf

Same thing happened when I added blacklist.
I got error message when updating driver.
"update-initramfs is disabled (live system is running on read-only media)"
I think updating driver is temporary and system goes original init process every boot from read-only file system.
How can I update new driver on my system?

Are you running from a locked flash drive or an optical disc or something?

I think if you are running on a standard USB flash drive, unless you have it hardware locked, you should be able to write to it.

I use sandisk cruzer fit z33 usb memory. thers is no locking switch.
cgminer.conf and bamt, conf have changed ok.
root file system won't change.

Hi, anyone managed to make bamt working with msi z87 g45 gaming? Seems ethernet doesn't work...

Same issues here.

atheros communications device e091 (rev 13) is the culprit.

5LTC bounty if someone can get it working before this weekend and post the image up here before the weekend!

Hi Bee,

I found a bug in BAMT.

The program uses a complex regex to parse the output of atitweak, and does not take into consideration that engine clock can be a decimal number, and that powertune can be a negative number.

in /opt/bamt/common.pl, Line 1912 looks like this:

Quote
while ($res =~ m/(\d)\.\s(.*?)\s+\(:(.*?)\)\n.*?engine\sclock\s(\d+)MHz,\smemory\sclock\s(\d+)MHz,\score\svoltage\s([\d\.]+)VDC,\sperformance\slevel\s(\d+?),\sutilization\s(\d+)\%\n(.*?)\n.*temperature\s([\d\.]+)\sC\n.*?powertune\s(\d+)\%/gm)

while it should look like this:
Quote

while ($res =~ m/(\d)\.\s(.*)\s+\(:(.*?)\)\n.*?engine\sclock\s([\d\.]+)MHz,\smemory\sclock\s(\d+)MHz,\score\svoltage\s([\d\.]+)VDC,\sperformance\slevel\s(\d+),\sutilization\s(\d+)\%\n(.*?)\n.*temperature\s([\d\.]+)\sC\n.*?powertune\s([\-\d]+)\%/gm)

To recreate the problem, set powertune to a negative number, and/or turn on engine clock autotune (on a r9 290 it uses two decimal places, can't speak for others), and surf to the bamt home page. You will see an error message within the first refresh.

This fix can be done live, but I am not sure if it is persistent.

Are you maintaining litecoin bamt? Should i report this elsewhere?

keywords:
r9 290 errors disappears autotune powertune
fatal error: hash- or arrayref expected (not a simple scalar, use allow_nonref to allow this) at /opt/bamt/sendstatus.pl line 30.
fatal error: Can't use an undefined value as a HASH reference at /opt/bamt/mother line 587.
One of the BAMT tools has suffered a fatal error. Can't use an undefined value as a HASH reference at /usr/lib/cgi-bin/status.pl line 88. Defiled: Unable to record this travesty in the deathlog! Why?: Permission denied

EDIT: got my first report back. Yes, the change is persistent.
