CGMIner
« on: October 25, 2012, 09:48:03 AM »
So... are these rumours I've heard about the latest versions of CGMiner getting low hash speeds true?

If so, what is the latest version that has been found to produce decent speeds. I can't find where I saw it, but I think it is 2.6.4 or earlier. Does that sound right?

If anyone has any *nix shell scripts for launching CGMiner or configuration files, I'd be very interested in what everyone's using.

I'm trying to get my farm setup atm and any help would be greatly appreciated. If you have a 5870/5970 that would be legit. I am going to try and get these running as fast and stable as possible and I will post my scripts when I've accomplished that :) Thnx!

I started with 2.7.7 and I am pretty happy with it. I couldn't get 2.8.x to work for me at all, so I quit trying.  (granted, 2.8.x wasn't even stable releases when I tried it)

But now I wonder if an earlier version would be better? (2.6.x)

good to know.  I had tried 2.8.3.  Next time I am in a gambling mood, I will switch a rig over to 285.

Wow awesome. You use the latest version no problems? I'm going try that... much easier, might as well be up to date too!

Thanks!
