Warren
Thanks for the link to software v0.8.5.3-rc7-beta

This has resolved my issue with the wallet not accepting my Passphrase    ;D

Once my block chain updates I should have full access to my coins again!

kind regards
Benj

0.8.5.3-rc7-beta works great on XP SP3. It feels a little bit faster. Great job dev team.

Feature request for 0.8.6.x: Command that returns the amount of used addresses from keypool. Never know when to backup the wallet.

I'll test the latest version on my macbook (os x mavericks). I'm currently running 0.8.5

Are there specific things to test?

It can be anything, really.
Check out if every action (sent/receive, open console, ..) works without crashing or error.
Also check for other things, such as high CPU or RAM usage.
The moment you see something goes wrong or seems strange, stop what you are doing and report back with your log file(s).

Litecoin v0.8.6.1 is ready for power users only.  20x lower fees now possible for those capable of editing litecoin.conf.  Please help deploy 0.8.6.1 so it is safe for newbies to upgrade in the public release that comes later.  Read the WARNING message!

The software is ready but the public release on litecoin.org will come only after we have a lot more supernode relays running 0.8.6.1.

Just installed the new version for mac and changed the nodes.

I've deleted my old blockchain to check if the new blockchain is beeing downloaded propperly.

Currently added these nodes:
54.205.2.166
supernode-1.give-me-coins.com

Currerntly everything works fine here on OSX mavericks, i just copied the new version in the application folder and everything worked. (now donwloading the new block data from the new nodes).

Do i need to change the litecoin.conf file?
Because i just downloaded the newer version and deleted the old one (didn't have anything on my wallet yet) but everything seems to work, it updates and no issues?

Edit: Is this for heavy users because i am just a beginner. Stable build or ?

If you are new to the qt client, please just use the official release or use the new (test) client without your real litecoins. It's a stable build but need further network propagation and testing.

Okay, setting this up.

EDIT: How much upload bandwidth is needed per connection?

Update 1: With the new client on osx mavericks.

After deleting the original blocks from the 0.8.5 client it started downloading the new blocks from the new nodes but it appears it hangs at

"caching up Processed 34 of 474510 (112 weeks ago)"

I'll try aggain with some other nodes.
